DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO KILIMANJARO AIRPORT

Upon arrival to Kilimanjaro airport, you will meet your Jovial Safari Professional Guide. After greetings and little information, the Guide will transfer you to the reputable Hotel in Moshi for Dinner and Relaxation after long Safari you had. Dinner and Overnight at a Hotel in Moshi.

DAY 2: MOSHI – RONGAI GATE – 1st CAVES CAMP

After an early breakfast at your hotel, your Guide will pick you to the Rongai trail. The trail begins in the tall cornfields then leads into the pine forest. This trail has a gradual ascent and allows hikers to enjoy their surroundings. Halfway up the trail you will have your lunch break, and then continue hiking and probably reaching the first Caves Camp in the late afternoon or early evening. The porters and chef, who move very fast up the mountain, will reach camp before you and set up your tents, boil drinking water, and prepare snacks for your arrival.

DAY 3: 1st CAVES CAMP – KIKELELWA CAVE

Enjoy your hot breakfast; then continue hiking to Kikelewa Cave. The trail passes Second Cave camp and this is a good location to for your lunch break. Similar to the first night, you will meet everything prepared for you, including your tents and Dinner. Arrive fine, enjoy your dinner and overnight at Kikelelwa cave.

DAY 4: KIKELELWA CAVE – MAWENZI TARN CAMP

On this beautiful day, hikers will enjoy a short steep trail to Mawenzi Tarn Camp. In the moorland, you will experience exotic plants, including giant lobelia and groundsel. At the camp, enjoy a spectacular view of the mountain and general landscape. Then enjoy your hot dinner and your overnight at Mawenzi Tarn Camp.

DAY 5: MAWENZI TARN CAMP – KIBO HUT

After breakfast, continue ascending east for a half-day hike to Kibo Hut. Kibo is located in the “Saddle,” which refers to the area located between the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo. Enjoy your early dinner and rest a bit before attempting the summit this same night. Your professional guide will brief you in detail on how to prepare for summit night.

 DAY 6: KIBO HUT – UHURU PEAK – HOROMBO HUT

Your guide will awake you around 23:20 for tea and snacks. Then prepare your mind ready to begin your summit attempt. Take your way and continue descending up to Gillman’s point. Reaching this section is an impressive achievement as the trail is steep, rocky, and at high altitude. Gillman’s is located on the crater rim. Spend a short time on the summit taking photographs and drinking tea before descending to Barafu begins. The hike down to Kibo Hut takes around 3 hours.

At Kibo Hut, rest a bit and enjoy a hot lunch in the sun. After eating, you will continue descending down to Horombo Hut. Relax, enjoy your dinner and overnight at Horombo Hut.

DAY 7: HOROMBO HUT – MARANGU GATE- MOSHI

Enjoy your palatable breakfast; get exposure with celebration, full of dancing and singing from staff. After celebrating, then descending for about 6 hours back to Marangu Gate. Your vehicle will be waiting for you, drive back to your Hotel in Moshi for Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: MOSHI – KILIMANJARO AIRPORT

After breakfast, transfer back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
