MAASAI

The Maasai are an indigenous ethnic tribe in northern Tanzania. Historically, they are semi-nomadic people who live near the Ngorongoro ecosystem and the Serengeti National Park. Their culture is quietly unexplained.

They depend on readily available materials and local technology to construct their impressive and interesting housing. Their houses are either circular or loaf-shaped and are always made by women.

All of their music is vocal, hence they do not use instruments while singing or dancing, except for certain songs they are using large horns.

How does Maasai live inside Ngorongoro Crater?

The Ngorongoro crater creates an unbelievable experience, it saves as the home for the Big five, Maasai people, and their cattle. They usually graze their cattle without any fear of wild animals, and they do not eat the meat of wild animals. Well, do not miss out on this beautiful scenario.

HADZABE

The Hadzabe also referred to as Hadzas or the Bushmen, are living in Northern Tanzania. They are modern hunter-gatherers. They are considered one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. They do not own domesticated livestock or grow or store their food.

Jovial safaris can take you to experience an adventure with the Hadzas. The experience involves joining the men as they hunt or women when searching for fruits and berries.

They are using traditional bows and arrows when hunting. They usually hunt animals such as baboons and other wild animals. Also, they feed on roots, tubers, and Natural honey. 

DATOGA

The Datoga tribe is a semi-nomadic and pastoralist tribe of Tanzania. They live in northern Tanzania around Lake Eyasi in the Manyara region. They keep livestock such as cattle, goats, sheep, and donkeys. 

They do feed on meat, milk, and blood. They also feed on crops such as maize, beans, and millet. Since they are farmers, they grow Onions. During ritual occasions such as funerals, men are drinking honey beer.
