MEDICICAL VOLUNTEERING TOURISM

The main aim is to give a medical expert as a tourist an opportunity to explore what medicine in Africa is like while on its advancement stages compared to the west , supporting local communities in the near future through volunteering  by coming physically for capacity building or virtual capacity building.

Most of the volunteers  always find hardship when they are planning to come to a new place for volunteering without having or understanding the actual environment and the actual challenges that they need to address as an expert or to learn new things .

Sometimes it may consume all your weeks or month’s that you have planned to volunteer to understand the environment  and the  Team need .

What’s our role  in medical volunteering tourism activity?

• Identify the possible areas of volunteering
• Organizing a one day tour visit to the area spending time within the hospital  having site orientation and general meetings to learn the hospital needs ,success  and challenges including  understanding the need and how volunteering program is working on a particular site .
• Arranging a peer talk of the expert from your field to create network and interest for future venturing in the hospital .The aim is to start planning ahead of your volunteering activities and start to arrange for effective volunteering activities which will bring impact by communicating with the local experts who is in the field .

Other activities  will involve  helping a group of medical teams with certain  missions to organize a medical camping  in partnership with the leading organization.

These services will be included as part of the travel itineraries . Jovial safaris will continue to provide assistance for those who will be ready to come  as future volunteers to some of the medical centers which they will show interest to return for full volunteering activities .

Aim of the program

• Support local communities to access quality health care
• Sharing medical experience with the local medical team .
• Observing and understanding clinical practices in relationship to different culture and traditions

Medical experts who are needed are from all specialties and supportive medical teams .

We also   work with students  groups , colleges  universities  and Planning the mission trips.
