Mount Kilimanjaro Day Trip (Mandara Hut Route)
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Arusha by a professional guide from Jovial safaris. After a short briefing, depart for Marangu Gate, approximately a 2.5–3 hour drive.
Upon arrival at the gate (1,860 meters above sea level), complete park registration and meet your licensed mountain guide. Begin your hike through the lush montane rainforest, home to towering trees, colorful birds, blue monkeys, and colobus monkeys.
Continue hiking on a well-maintained trail toward Mandara Hut (2,720 meters). The hike takes approximately 3–4 hours at a comfortable pace. Along the way, your guide will provide information about the mountain’s flora, fauna, and geography.
Upon arrival at Mandara Hut, enjoy a packed lunch and take time to rest while soaking in views of the surrounding forest.
If weather conditions allow, you may take a short walk to the Maundi Crater, offering panoramic views toward Kenya and the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro.
After lunch and relaxation, begin your descent back to Marangu Gate, retracing your route through the rainforest. The descent takes approximately 2–3 hours.
Upon arrival at the gate, meet your driver and begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving in the early evening. You will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your memorable Mount Kilimanjaro day trip with Jovial safaris.

Booking & Payment Policy
A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
The balance must be paid in full at least 60 days before the safari start date.
Payments can be made via bank transfer or secure online payment gateway.
2. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made 91+ days before arrival: 25% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 61–90 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 60 days or less before arrival: 100% cancellation fee.
Refunds (if applicable) will be processed minus bank and transaction charges.
3. Included Services
Accommodation, meals, park fees, scheduled game drives, transfers, and internal flights are included as per itinerary.
Any additional services not explicitly stated in the "Items Included" list will be charged separately.
4. Not Included
International flights, travel insurance, visa fees, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included.
Premium drinks, spa treatments, and optional activities are extra unless specified.
5. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests and must cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation.
6. Health & Safety
Guests are advised to consult their doctor for any required vaccinations or medications prior to travel.
Tanzania is a malaria zone; prophylactics are recommended.
7. Child Policy
Children are welcome at &Beyond Grumeti. However, children under 6 may not be allowed on shared game drives.
Child rates and private safari vehicle arrangements are available on request.
