Umbwe Route

Upon arrival to Kilimanjaro airport, you will meet your Jovial Safari Professional Guide. After greetings and little information, the Guide will transfer you to the reputable Hotel in Moshi for Dinner and Relaxation after long Safari you had. Dinner and Overnight at a Hotel in Moshi.
Early in the Morning after breakfast, Drive from Moshi to the Umbwe Gate, it takes approximately 1 hour. The climb through the rain forest with packed lunch on route commence. On the route, you can see some wildlife, including Colobus monkeys. Halfway up the trail, you will have a lunch break and you will reach the Bivouac Camp, in the late afternoon or early evening.
After breakfast, you will leave the forest and take an ascending path on the open moorland on your way to Barranco Camp. In the moorland, you will a chance to experience exotic plants, including giant lobelia and groundsel. When hiking, the trail provides a well spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro. When reaching to Barranco Camp, experience a nice view of the great Barranco Wall in the East.
After breakfast, we leave Barranco Camp and continue taking our way up to Barranco Wall, then hiking to Karanga Valley and the junction, that connect with Mweka Trail. Upon reaching to your Camp, relax after a day of acclimatization.
We continue hiking up to the Barafu Camp. Experience stunning views, upon reaching the Barafu Camp, this circuit offers views of the summit from many different angles. When reaching to Barafu Camp, Enjoy your delicious dinner and relax for the next day.
The hot drink will arrive very early. Then the descending begins, approximately 12 to 17 hours of trekking. During midnight, the temperature range below the freezing point. After about 6 hours of walking, you will reach to the rim of the crater, about 5,790 meters, which is the end of the steep track. Experience a gentle slope of about 1 hour to Uhuru Peak. Taking all the way and descend back to Barafu Camp for some rest, take the courage and descend up to Mweka Camp for the night.
Descend all the way to the gate about 2 to 3 hours, each hiker will be rewarded an appreciation as a best Legend for climbing up to the roof of Africa. Then transfer to a Hotel in Moshi for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight.
